Speaking as a client, if the end result is a set of striking photos, then I wouldn't care what type of lights or backgrounds were used.

I think if you are brand new and can't afford lights this is a good inexpensive setup to use to build your portfolio and get your first few clients. After you get a few you need to use the profits from those shoots to buy a proper set of lights. You can buy White label stuff from Adorama or B&H or Alien Bees for a few hundred bucks.
As the previous commentor noted all the client really cares about is the end result and most don't really care how you achieved it. In fact, if you make stunning images with a less than impressive setup they may actually think you are incredible.
